I don’t mean to sound like a jerk or anything, but is saving $550 worth of pennies over 19 years really something that you should be proud of? It’s a little crazy if you ask me. There are people who hoard pets, people who hoard old magazines and newspapers, and then there’s Vicki Armstrong who spent nearly two decades hoarding shiny little copper coins.

The Journal Times Online has it:

Her husband, Melvin, said he never interfered with her healthy obsession, even when their bicycle rides were interrupted by tiny treasure hunts.

“She would see a penny in the road and just stop,” he said. “I would to have to do circles just to let her catch up.”

Huh.
