Okay, by now Facebook’s Beacon debacle is old news — the company’s attempt to mine user purchase data outside Facebook and add it to the hive mind. Meas have been culpad, the program has been scaled back, and a lot of the shine is off Facebook wunderkind CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

But this video — which raises concerns about Facebook’s overall commitment to privacy –isn’t about Beacon. It’s about CIA data mining, right-wing think tanks, and the government’s shadowy Total Information Awareness program. Real Bourne Identity stuff.
