Friday Ukulele Madness: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
They’ve been around for over twenty years, but if you’ve not run into the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain before, a good place to start is their official self-description:
The Ukulele Orchestra is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players, who use instruments bought with loose change, and who believe that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation, as long as they are played on the Ukulele.
Which, of course, would make an all-ukulele version of the theme from Sergio Leone’s classic spaghetti western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly fair game, right? No drums, no synthesizers — just the human voice and seven smokin’ ukuleles.
