Amnesty International Website Lets You Unsubscribe CIA Torture

The actor’s pain is real. But — according to the Bush Administration — it’s not torture.
To produce the video for their new anti-torture campaign, Amnesty International’s film crew subjected a performance actor to one of the CIA’s approved “stress positions” for six hours. The sweat, whimpers, and obvious agony are as it happened. It’s the sort of thing going on in secret detention centers around the world.
Visitors to the site unsubscribe-me.org are invited to symbolically “unsubscribe” state-approved torture. At snarfd, we’ve signed. Hope you do, too.
