Living the Easy Life on a Private Island Built on a Quarter Million Plastic Bottles Off the Coast of Mexico

If you have ever wanted to buy your own island but lack the seven figure bank account necessary to get your own private kingdom, take heart!

Richie Sowa has built a floating island paradise using discarded plastic water and soda bottles for flotation off the coast of Mexico. It’s mega-rad; he has so far collected a quarter of a million bottles, bagged them up in fishing bags, and built a wooden platform on top. The island is occupied by  Richie and a few cats, a dog, three chickens, and has a bunch of dirt, sand, plants, and wooden huts. Sign me up! Check out the video:
